I visited two other places for lunch and drinks. Seminyak, which was about 5-10 min drive from the hotel in Kuta and Jimbaran which was a bit far out, roughly 30min drive with minimal traffic.
What lead me to Jimbaran was Rock bar. I had to try this Bar that's located on a beautiful resort called Ayana Resort. This bar is a must see, absolutely beautiful scenery. Mind blowing I tell you. If you are planning to visit Bali, you gotta try it. A bit pricey but worth it.
I only managed to get into the bar on my second attempt as it rained whilst I was in the queue ,on my first attempt. They had to close the bar on account of rain. Rock bar opens at 4pm if I remember correctly. I noted the very long queue from my first attempt so I advice that you get there at 3:30pm,if you'd like to catch the beautiful Jimbaran sunset from the bar. On my second attempt, I decided to go have lunch at one of the restaurants in Ayana Resort. Guys this resort is beautiful, In hindsight, I should have packed some swimwear for the day and spent a whole afternoon there. I went to the restaurant right by the bar, I think it's called Sami Sami. They had the most delicious sea food pasta I've had. The vibe was great and service excellent. My family wants to try Bali post my feedback and I would want us to stay in Ayana if we decide to go. I love it so much, I would get married there hahahahaha!!!
If you are coming from Kuta, you will manage to get a taxi to Ayana but coming back from Ayana is a beeeeg problem. There are no cabs coming back. So again, Bang Bang was the solution. He can drop you off and pick you up later. That way you don't have to end up paying exorbitant fees from cab drivers that know you're stranded and exploit you.
Here are some pics I took on both attempts, from Rock Bar/Ayana Resort
I decided to have lunch at Cacoon beach club located in Seminyak. Such a chilled vibe, exactly I what I wanted that particular day. I packed my backpack with my camera, book, etc. and just took it easy. I tried their roasted duck, asian style fried rice, hoisin, sauted greens & Soy. It was soooooo delicious. I had the food with a strawberry daiquiri hehe!! Bali is ridiculously hot and this drink served me right the whole trip.
